The International Thespian Society is the only theatre honor society for middle and high school students just like you! Whether you love design, technical theatre, playwriting, or performing, our Junior Thespian Troupe has something for you.

All students are welcome to attend Troupe meetings! You don't have to be enrolled in a theatre class to participate. Troupe officers plan and conduct meetings with input from Troupe members. Activities may include theatre games, learning about acting techniques, special guest speakers, planning community service or fundraisers, learning more about different aspects of theatre tech, planning and putting on a show, etc.

Current Strickland students qualify to be inducted as a  member of the International Thespian Society by earning points for their work in the theatre arts. Each spring, we hold our induction ceremony where new inductees are welcomed into the ranks of our Junior Thespian Troupe. Junior Thespians begin their high school careers with half of the points needed for high school induction.

Scholar distinction is granted to Junior Thespians for academic achievement in overall coursework as follows:

Jr. Thespian President's List Scholar 4.0 GPA
Jr. Thespian Vice President's List Scholar 3.5 GPA
Jr. Thespian Scholar 3.0 GPA

Incoming Junior Thespians pay a one-time induction fee of $20.
Finacial aid is available on request.
