At Rivera Elementary, I play a key role in helping students thrive in all areas of their school experience. By supporting their emotional well-being, developing essential life skills, and removing barriers to learning, to ensure every student is equipped to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Here are some of the ways I support student growth and school success:
Guidance Lessons: Teaches whole-class lessons focused on decision-making, self-management, empathy, and responsible behavior—skills that support success in and out of the classroom.
Group Counseling: Provides targeted support to help students build focus, manage stress, develop social skills, and overcome personal challenges that may impact their learning.
5th Grade Transition: Prepares students for a successful move to middle school through planning, skill-building, and confidence-boosting activities.
Character Strong Promotion: Promotes a positive school climate by helping students develop strong character traits and take pride in their school community.
AmeriCorps Senior Volunteers: Partners with community volunteers to extend learning opportunities and provide additional mentoring support inside of classrooms.
