Background

I am so excited to begin my fifth year of teaching and fourth year at RHS! After graduating from UNT, I spent one year as a choir director at the middle school level in Carrollton before returning to Denton to teach at Ryan. As a high schooler, choir was my creative outlet as well as my family and my home, so it was always my dream to create that artistic and social space for my own high school students. I love making music with our Raider Choirs and can't wait for another great year!

Teaching Philosophy

For me, music has always been a source of creative and emotional expression, a way to continually challenge myself and grow, and a uniquely deep and meaningful way to connect with other humans. It is my goal to teach students to understand and love music so that it can become the support and outlet that it has been in my life.

Personal Life
