Instrument Rental Information
Denton ISD Orchestra families are not required to rent or purchase an instrument or supplies from specific vendors as a condition of orchestra participation. However, it is HIGHLY recommended to use vendors on the district recommended vendor list to ensure that the student receives an instrument and supplies of acceptable quality. This helps ensure the student's progress and enjoyment in our orchestra program.
The vendors listed have been approved and recommended by your Denton ISD orchestra directors based on long-term overall experiences of the vendors' products and services. However, the directors, district fine arts staff and the district assume no liability in the event of a negative experience by the parent regarding the private music vendor of their choice.
Rental Set-Up
The following 3 vendors offer online rental set-up, on-campus delivery, and on-site pick-up for repairs and re-sizing for all Denton ISD campuses. It is highly recommended for families to use one of the following vendors for instrument rental. In most cases, the vendors listed have supply packages pre-loaded in their online rental system based on the requirements of your campus.
Before beginning the online rental process, make sure you:
Have REGISTERED for orchestra at your campus following the instructions given to you by your specific campus
Received confirmation of orchestra enrollment and INSTRUMENT ASSIGNMENT from the director at your campus
Know which SIZE of instrument you will need based on the sizing instructions provided by your director, or the supply list they provided you
Have reviewed your campus orchestra SUPPLY LIST and are aware of which accessories are required to be purchased with your instrument and which are recommended/optional
Have a method of payment ready (credit card or debit card) to set up your payment preferences and schedule.
When navigating the vendor websites, If a supply list does not appear for your campus, or your campus does not appear at all, it is possible that the vendor has not built a supply list for that campus yet for the upcoming year. Contact your director and let them know that you are having trouble completing a rental with that company.
Please do not make plans to pick up the instrument yourself from any of the 3 vendors listed below (instruments will be delivered to your campus). Your director may have specific things they need to do to prepare your instrument for you and instructions the student must learn before unpacking their instrument for the first time safely. At most campuses, students will begin taking their instruments home only after completing multiple orchestra class meetings to learn about instrument care and maintenance.
Please be aware that due to the number of vendors your orchestra directors work with, the information below might not always be the most up to date version. Please notify your director if you see something that needs to be changed on our website.
