Hi! My name is Carson Burford and I am so excited to be your child's 3rd grade teacher this school year. This is my sixth year teaching and my fifth year at Nelson. I have taught 4th, 5th, and 3rd grade. I love, love, love being a teacher and getting to spend my days getting to know your students and help them grow into life-long learners and AMAZING human beings. 

I grew up here in Denton ISD and attended both Crownover and Guyer. I then went to Texas A&M University (Gig 'Em!) and graduated with a Biomedical Sciences degree before deciding to become a teacher! I love getting to teach where I grew up and give back to this community. Denton ISD is a really special place!

While at Guyer High School, I met my husband Billy. We got married in December 2023.
