Mrs. Gaskill will begin her 18th year as a band director, and first year in the head band director roll. She is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors degree in Music Education. She is also an alumna of the nearby Marcus High School in Flower Mound and has worked with bands from McKinney, Frisco, Lewisville, Leander, and Austin, and is an active adjudicator throughout North Texas.
While attending the University of Texas, Mrs. Gaskill played clarinet in various ensembles including the University of Texas Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Band, Longhorn Marching Band, and the Texas Basketball Band. She also was involved in organizations such as Tau Beta Sigma: National Band Honorary Sorority, Kappa Delta Pi: Educational Honor Society, and was vice-president of the University of Texas Student Music Educator Association. Mrs. Gaskill is an active member of Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) and Texas Jazz Educators Association (TJEA).
Mrs. Gaskill enjoys spending time off with her family, playing clarinet in the NCTWinds, crocheting, and spending time with her 2 dogs, Kya & Maddie! Her husband of 17 years, Mr. Gaskill teaches Law Enforcement & Homeland Defense at Denton ISD's LaGrone Academy, and also recently retired as a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army Military Police. They enjoy traveling and adventuring with their two sons, Graham (trombone) and Rowan (TBD). Most weekends are spent at baseball games, spending time with their church family, and cheering on University of Texas Football & Texas Rangers Baseball!
