Handbook + Forms
All parents and students are expected to read the orchestra handbook. It is important to understand what is required and expected of a Harpool orchestra student. This handbook addresses most of the frequent questions and concerns regarding participation in orchestra as a yearlong commitment.
After reviewing the Orchestra Handbook online, please turn in a hard copy of the signed agreement form (hard copies provided in class) by Friday, 8/25.
Students may enroll in optional on-campus private lessons with district approved teachers.
Fee Waiver Instrument Usage Application (optional)
Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch may lease an instrument from the school for a reduced rate.
Provide proof of free/reduced lunch qualification (printed approval letter or forward the approval email) to Mr. Napier and fill out this application* (Directors will fill in Section B).
Cello and Bass students have the option of paying an extra fee to use a school-owned cello or bass at school to avoid transporting their instrument from home. This instrument is not intended to be the student's only instrument, and these instruments cannot be checked out to be taken home. Students should still have a personal instrument at home for individual practice and usage during some off-campus concerts and extra-curricular activities. Please note that Directors will fill in Section B.
