$50 Application fee-once
$219/ 3 credit hour course $292/ 4 credit hour course
ex. ENG 1013 (fall) = $219, ENG 1023 (spring) =$219
Free lunch students receives a scholarship for 6 credit hours per semester
Fall/Spring courses are embedded in the Denton High School schedule with DHS Teacher. No Textbook Expense
Summer courses are online with a TWU professor. Summer courses are dependent on TWU course rotation and availability at the time of registration. Textbook Expense
August 23- Registration & payment deadline
August 26- First day of TWU classes
September 27- Last day to drop class
December 7-12- Finals for TWU classes

Steps 1-3 = ACCEPTANCE into TWU

Step 1: Apply - New to TWU DC students

Pay the $50 Application Fee online
Students on the Federal free/reduced lunch program are eligible to receive an application fee waiver by completing the following Dual Credit Application Fee Waiver Request Form

Processing for applications is up to 10 days. Click here to check application status

Step 2: Permission Form - New and Returning TWU DC students each year
Return your Permission Form to klangat@dentonisd.org or drop off in counseling office
Please make sure to put TWU course number

Step 3: Transcripts
Official DHS Transcripts will be sent by DHS DC Coordinator to TWU at the start/end of the semester that will include your qualifying GPA and test scores.
Submitting Step 2 is how the DC counselor will know to submit students transcript.
Depending on students STAAR, PSAT, SAT or ACT depends if the student needs TSIA2 Testing. Please see DC Eligibility Requirements
If the student does not meet eligibility through a TSIA2 waiver they can still do DC by taking the TSIA2 Test. Please visit TSIA2 section for assistance in where students can take the TSIA2 test.
Step 4: Registration
Part A: Create Pioneer Portal Account - New to TWU DC students
About 24-48 hours after students have applied, students will receive an email with their TWU ID at that time students can create their Pioneer Portal.
SAVE it somewhere safe because you will need it for registration

More Information to register and pay will be emailed in late July/early August. You will also receive information from your Dual Credit DHS Teacher regarding registration, payment and successful enrollment in Dual Credit.

I graduated and completed TWU DC Course(s), what do I do?
My University is requesting my DC transcripts before HS graduation?
Request an official transcript from TWU to be sent to your University or College
You will have to complete this every time you attend a new University or College.
If you end up attending TWU, you don't have to complete this.
