Mrs. Kaitlyn Candler

HEAD CHOIR DIRECTOR

Mrs. Candler is entering her fourteenth year of teaching, beginning her career at Krum Middle School & High School and followed by eight years at Northwest High School. Words cannot express her excitement of  being a Bronco and repping her PURPLE and GOLD! Under her direction, students consistently receive sweepstakes ratings at UIL competition, advance to area and beyond in the TMEA All-State Choir process, and receive superior rating at solo & ensemble contest.

Mrs. Candler holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Texas Woman's University, where she was named as the 2009-2010 recipient of the Pressor Scholar Award. Mrs. Candler served as the TMEA All-State Women’s Choir Alto 2 section leader in 2016 as well as the TMEA Region 2 High School Vocal Chair from 2016-2018 and coordinates the Texas Woman's University Pioneer All-State Choir Camp. Mrs. Candler proudly serves as conductor of the TWU University Chorus and is excited to be starting her Masters Degree. She is an active member of TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association), TCDA (Texas Choral Directors Association), and SAI (Sigma Alpha Iota). Outside of school, Mrs. Candler enjoys spending time with her family - Lance, Charlotte, Cooper, and Darcy!

Mrs. Natalie Ary

ASSISTANT CHOIR DIRECTOR

Mrs. Ary is excited to be entering her sixth year of teaching as a Denton Bronco! Mrs. Ary began her teaching career at Sanger Middle School, and has spent the last four years at Lewisville High School. She is a Denton native and DISD alum, and is grateful for the opportunity to teach in her own community. Under her direction at both the middle school and high school level, ensembles have grown in their achievement and received superior and excellent ratings, and treble ensembles have consistently received sweepstakes at UIL. 

Mrs. Ary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Texas Woman's University, where she was a Terry Scholar and named Outstanding Undergraduate of the Class of 2018. Mrs. Ary accompanied the LISD 9-10 Honor choir in 2020, served as the clinician for the DISD 9-10 Honor Choir in 2022, and regularly serves on the worship team at her church with her husband. She is an active member of TMEA and TCDA. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her family, and being outdoors.
