The Harpool middle school Spanish club’s mission is to promote multiculturalism in our school community by creating opportunities for the students to explore the culture, traditions, social practices, celebrations, and life values of Hispanic countries from Central, South America and Spain, in Europe. Spanish Club members will enjoy experiencing and learning about the authentic music, dances, food, art and crafts. As well as, creating pieces or art that are representative of Hispanic countries.

OBJECTIVES:

To promote multiculturalism in our school community
To compare and find similarities between our own culture to the Hispanic cultures
To provide extended practice of the Spanish language
To experience the Hispanic culture through task-based authentic scenarios
To develop appreciation of the Hispanic heritage
