Why practice sight words?
Sight words (sometimes referred to as high frequency words) appear OFTEN in text.
Knowing sight words helps free up mental energy for tackling harder words.
Supports students in both reading and writing.
Builds confidence and helps students identify as a reader. "I read, therefore I am a reader."
