EXTRA SUPPORT FOR READING RECOVERY STUDENTS--Please go to the page (listed across the top of this site) titled "Parent Resources for Reading Recovery". This page lists ideas for practice and gives you a way to connect with me for more support!
I am beginning my 20th year at Hodge Elementary. I began my teaching career as a kindergarten teacher then transitioned into the role of instructional coach. I am an instructional coach for kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. I also serve as the Reading Recovery Teacher for Hodge. I feel fortunate to work with the exceptional teachers and students at Hodge with a focus on reading. Reading is my professional passion and my hobby and my goal is to bring the joy of reading to all students! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and my 2 grown children sharing good meals, laughing, and listening. When I'm not working, I like to read, cook, and grow tomatoes!
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy books and that's kind of the same thing!

In my free time I love to spend time with my husband & my 2 children, read books, bake, garden, and snuggle with grand kitties.
