The following awards will be given:
One medal to each of the top three individuals in each event.
One individual medal to the high scorer in the Biology, Chemistry, and Physics sections of the Science contest.
One trophy/plaque to the top Accounting, Calculator, Mathematics, Computer Science, Current Issues & Events, Journalism, Literary Criticism, Number Sense, Science, and Spelling teams.
Rules: UIL rules will apply. Coaches are responsible for checking their own students' papers after they have been graded to confirm correct scores. After the awards ceremony begins, no changes will be made because of incorrect scoring or keys.

Tab Room: The tab room will be in the Student Center which is just down the hall from the Commons (cafeteria). Dr. Anna Seibert is the meet director and can be found there most times.
Registration: A representative from each school should come to the tab room to register and receive their updated invoice as soon as you arrive on campus.
Adult Food - Hospitality will be available for coaches and bus drivers (location TBA)
Student Food - No concession stand will be provided. We have plenty of places nearby. Please do not allow students to leave campus and walk across 380 to access restaurants. Teachers/Coaches may leave to get food or have it delivered, we just ask that no individuals walk across Highway 380. Our doors will be locked, please meet delivery drivers at the front of the school.

Drop Off, Pick up and Parking - Please drop students off at the main entrance. Cars can /busses can park in either the parking lot by the Gymnasium (there is a side entrance into the Commons) or between Braswell High School and Carrico Stadium.
Student Holding - BHS has a large cafeteria (known as the Commons) for holding. Please make sure that your students know that they should not be in any classroom without the supervision of an adult and only in classrooms designated for competition.
Drops/Adds - Drops, Adds, and substitutions in testing events can be made in the testing room from this point forward. Additions will be invoiced after the tournament.
Grading - Schools with students in an event are expected to have a representative available to grade. Please report to the specified grading room indicated on the schedule/map for grading 10 minutes before the end of testing.
Verification - With so many schools, verification will be done in the grading room once grading is completed with coaches only, unless there is a concern that would necessitate bringing a student in for clarification.
Computer Science - Contestants will be using the NetBeans compiler on desktop computers to create code and will submit the code on USB flash drives. Contestants must bring at least 1 USB flash drive - 2 flash drives are preferred.
Testing equipment and materials - Students and coaches should bring with them the materials needed for testing/competing (i.e. approved calculators where allowed, AP style guides, pens, paper, pencils, etc.)
Results - Results will be announced after verification is completed in the Commons. Awards not picked up at that time will be placed in competition bags to be picked up after the tournament.
Testing materials - Your testing materials will be in your bags that can be picked up at the end of the day. Clean copies will be provided after the testing window closes via email.
Journalism/Ready Writing - We will be coach grading this year. We will give awards for the top three in each event. We will also provide a trophy/plaque to the top Journalism Team. We will have a large school and small school conference - note that if we have low entries in one of the conferences, they may be combined. We will have dell desktop computers for students to use, but your students are welcome to bring their own equipment or hand write if they would like.
