Things You Can Do At Home

A Calm Down Corner is a corner in the classroom or home that has calming items in it such as: 

• Pillows

• Blankets

• Stuffed Animals

• Fidgets

A Calm Down Corner is where students can calm themselves down after a meltdown, or when they become dysregulated. Typically a Calm Down Corner is used for about ~3 minutes or until a student can rejoin the activity.

Calm Down Corners are never used for punishment or consequences.
