Counselor Corner

Hi! My name is Samantha Nava, and I am the Communities In Schools Site Coordinator at Bell Elementary.  I received my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am a mom of three boys and love spending time with my family! This will be my 5th year with Communities in Schools of North Texas, and my 3rd year running the CIS program at Bell. My role on campus is to provide extra support to Bobcat students and families! I facilitate lunch groups daily and meet with students individually when needed. Students in the CIS program have the opportunity to sign up for tutoring and mentoring.  CIS partners with UNT and TWU, and throughout the year college students will volunteer at Bell to provide tutoring to students who may need additional academic support, or mentor students who would benefit from a positive adult relationship. Any families who need assistance with community resources can reach out to me! I am here to help.  My goal is to have 100 students on my caseload.
