Students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade are administered the ELI/SELI three times throughout the year- beginning of the year, mid year, and spring.
The purpose of the ELI/SELI is to assess students in 7 categories of literacy: letter identification and sounds, word lists, concepts about print, phonological awareness, sentence dictation, writing sample, and independent reading level through the use of the DRA/EDL (Spanish Version).
