COURSE OVERVIEW

2019 - 2020 School Year

8th Grade Mathematics plays an essential role both within the school and in society. This course focuses on helping students to become equipped with the knowledge, understanding and intellectual capabilities to address further courses in mathematics, as well as to prepare those students who will use mathematics in their workplace and life in general. This course will also focus on promoting a powerful universal language, analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills that contribute to the development of logical, abstract and critical thinking.

Google Classroom:

To access the Classroom, you will need to go to the Google Classroom site and then log-in with your district Google account. Reminder: Students need to used their "@g.dentonisd.org" username.

IXL Math:

To access IXL, please use the following link to the IXL Denton ISD login page. To login the username and password are both your student ID number. If you are not able to work on any of the assignments, add an extra 1 to the end of your username when you login. There are many different options for homework and extra practice under the learning tab.

    • 1-2 Folders
    • Pack of notebook paper & graph paper
    • Pencils with erasers
    • Pack of AAA batteries
    • Composition book (preferably graph)
    • Pencil sharpener
