Assessment 2

What Is the TSI Assessment 2?

The TSI (Texas Success Initiative) Assessment 2 is a college readiness indicator. It looks at the areas of reading, writing, and math. Students are required to take the TSI to enroll in college-credit bearing courses.

Students may be exempt from the TSI based on your SAT or ACT scores.

  • EBRW (Reading) SAT: score of 480 or higher

  • Math SAT: score of 530 or higher

  • Reading ACT: score of 19 or higher with a composite score of 23

  • Math ACT: score of 19 or higher with a composite score of 23

What are the passing scores on the TSI Assessment 2?

  • TSI ELAR: 945 or above

    • TSI ELAR less than 945 with a 5 or above in the diagnostic test

  • TSI Writing: 5 or above

  • TSI Mathematics: 950 or above

    • TSI Mathematics less than 950 with a 6 or above in the diagnostic test
