Researcher and Practitioner
The poster session is best for students interested in presenting preliminary, exploratory, or in-progress research.
Posters allow for early feedback to improve your work before publishing. Poster sessions provide more one-on-one interactions, allow for less formal conversation, and are ideal for building connections.
The sessions will be approximately 45 minutes for you to engage others in your poster
topic. There will not be a submission process for posters beyond this initial application; please arrive to the session with your printed poster. If accepted for the poster session, further instructions will be included in the acceptance email.
Classrooms will host three sessions of presentations. At the end of each session attendees may choose to remain in that classroom to see the next presenter, or go to another classroom to listen to a different presentation.
A research presentation is best for complete or near-final research, meaning you are ready to provide results, conclusions and clear implications and explain how your work fits into the broader field. Presentations are typically seen by more people at once, and can therefore make a stronger impact. Presentation sessions are 20 minutes, with 15 minutes to present and 5 minutes for questions.
Practitioner Presentation
A practitioner presentation is a 30-minute session that provides practice-based insights, innovative strategies, lessons learned, implementation challenges, or case studies from real-world settings. These presentations are usually not research-heavy but should be informed by research. These presentations highlight applied knowledge, tested practices, and contextualized experiences.
Round Table Discussion
Research/Practitioner
The round table discussion is best for students looking for feedback on a current manuscript. Feedback is provided by faculty. Papers should be 4-6 pages in length (single-spaced, size 11 or 12 font), plus references, images, and tables. This proposal is appropriate for current research on any topic at any stage in the research process. Submissions must include the manuscript. If a change is needed for an updated manuscript, information on how to do that will be included in the acceptance email.
These sessions offer time to ask questions in different chat rooms about topics outside of research presentations.
You may come and go from any chat room as you like. Think of it as a way to have questions answered that you might not get to ask elsewhere.

Wear your name badge

Leaving between presenters is permitted (after questions are complete)
