We are excited that our keynote speaker will be Dr. Steph Dean whose work focuses on outdoor education, place-based pedagogies, holistic well-being, and play-based learning.

Registration opens September 1, 2026 and closes November 4, 2026.

This year, conference registration and proposal submissions are completed through the same form.

If you only plan to attend the conference, that's completely fine. You are not required to submit a proposal to register.

Select the presentation format that best fits your work.
Complete the registration and proposal submission form linked below.
Submit your proposal by November 4, 2026.
Proposal decisions will be sent in December.

You do not need to have a completed dissertation, published study, or years of research experience to submit a proposal. The Graduate Student Conference is designed to provide a supportive space for graduate students at different stages of their programs to share their work, receive feedback, and grow as scholars and practitioners.

You might have a proposal if you...

Completed a project or paper for one of your graduate courses.
Have research that is still in progress.
Are developing a thesis or dissertation idea.
Conducted a research study and have findings to share.
Developed or implemented an innovative strategy in your classroom, school, or professional setting.
Have a practice, resource, lesson, or approach that other educators could learn from.
Want feedback on an idea or project you're still developing.

Your work does not have to be “finished” to be worth sharing.

Yes, you will need to register. If you want to submit a proposal, you will register through the same link.

How do I become a presenter?

Complete the proposal on this website.

How can I volunteer?

We love volunteers!! Please email kathrim@clemson.edu if you would like to volunteer.

Can I stream the conference?

Yes! We will be streaming the event. However, to be fully transparent, we have had technical difficulties in the past that made this challenging.
