Arati earned her B.S. with a major in Forestry and M.S. in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. To complete her Ph.D. in Forest Resources she is joining the Forest Health lab at Clemson University in Fall 2023. She loves hiking, trekking, camping and other outdoor activities during her leisure period
Dissertation topic: The effects of Climate Smart forestry practices on harmful and beneficial insects
I am a senior plant & environmental science major with a current interest in invasive/weedy plant biology and control. I serve as a CAFLS ambassador and work as a lab assistant in the crop ecophysiology lab under Dr. Sruthi Narayanan. In my free time I take hikes and forage for native plants and fungi. I also play pool competitively in a local league.
A budding scientist dedicated to helping preserve ecosystems and its natural resources we depend on. Particularly curious about restoration ecology and invasive species. Excited to find out what the future brings!
