Project Description: Assessing the impacts of Climate Smart forestry practices on pollinator and pest communities in managed forests. The project will be very collaborative; the RA should be comfortable working on large teams with diverse interests and backgrounds, including private landowners. We expect to use remote sensing to monitor pest populations so some familiarity and/or experience with RS is expected. Because of the collaborative nature of this project, there are opportunities to incorporate other aspects of the Climate Smart program (e.g., economic impacts, bird communities, human dimensions) into the final project.
