Welcome to a new school year! The 5th grade class meets twice a week on Monday afternoons from 1:05 - 2:55 p.m. and Thursday mornings from 9:15 - 11:15 a.m. in the BPE library. Check back for highlights of class activities and events throughout the year.
Turkey Bowling: To celebrate our Thanksgiving spirit, the student's enjoyed challenging their classmates to a round of turkey bowling. They used problem solving skills and logic to have the last turkey standing. Gobble...gobble...fun!
The Runaway Pumpkin Experiment: Students participated in a Pumpkin S.T.E.A.M. Challenge using their science and mathematics skills to design and build a ramp with an incline that will roll the farthest distance. They developed a hypothesis, brainstormed ideas, measured and recorded data. After, they interpreted their data and reflected on steps for improvement next time.
