Welcome to a new school year! The 5th grade class meets twice a week on Monday afternoons from 1:05 - 2:55 p.m. and Thursday mornings from 9:15 - 11:15 a.m. in the BPE library. Check back for highlights of class activities and events throughout the year.
The Runaway Pumpkin Experiment: Students participated in a Pumpkin S.T.E.A.M. Challenge using their science and mathematics skills to design and build a ramp with an incline that will roll the farthest distance. They developed a hypothesis, brainstormed ideas, measured and recorded data. After, they interpreted their data and reflected on steps for improvement next time.
Thank you to all of the parents and administrators who attended the GT Open House! It was great to see you and your support of the program is greatly appreciated. Thanks also for trying the brain buster challenge the students selected for you and for participating in the S.T.E.A.M. Index Card Challenge.
