Students will use what they learned through this Illustrator to design and create their own Vector Graphic Final Project.
Using your imagination, you will be creating a landscape in Illustrator with flat shapes of color. Use any type of style you would prefer, but make sure it is dynamic and colorful. You will need to use a minimum of 6 layers moving backward. Keep in mind using depth perception, so that things that should be further away, get smaller/larger or brighter/darker. It does not need to be based on a land that exists in real life, be as creative as you want. You also must include 3 clipping masks in your drawing.
Look at the examples to the right to give you some ideas, but DO NOT COPY one of these. Start with the background and add more and more details as you go.
Must demonstrate 8 tools and techniques practiced during our Illustrator Unit activities including
Shape Builder (ACT 2)
FreeTransform/Puppet Warp Tool (ACT 3)
Stroke Option Properties (ACT 4)
Gradient Tool (ACT 4)
Text Tool (ACT 5)
Drawing Tools: Pencil, Curvature, Pen (ACT 6)
Drawing Mode/Clipping Mask (ACT 6/7)
Creative Effects/Appearance Panel (ACT 7)
*** You will be graded on the complexity and creativity of your filter. If you finish significantly early, then your grade will suffer.
Make sure you review the rubric for this project to make sure you aren't going to lose any points!
