Madison is thrilled to be playing the part of Jenna Roth. She enjoys the opportunity to continue performing, even though it is on a camera rather than a stage. Madison would also like to thank her sister for always being brutally honest and making her the person she is today.
Alaina is extremely excited to be playing the role of Cam Smith in the virtual production of The Planning Party. Virtual shows are very different from what the drama club is used to doing, but Alaina loves the challenge and is glad that she and the rest of the dramatic arts ensemble can still perform. She has been in many past productions, portraying an ape in Tarzan, a townsperson in Cinderella, and Mrs. Pugh, Oliver Warbucks’ chef in Annie. She also participated in elementary drama. Alaina’s hobbies outside of drama include dance, singing in chorus, playing her flute in band, spending time outside, and reading for hours on end. She would like to thank her family, friends, and directors for always supporting her and pushing her to be the best actress she can be. She is looking forward to the production, and hopes you enjoy the show!
Maddie Slocombe plays the characters Lila and Kat. She thinks The Planning Party has been incredibly fun and that it’s such a funny script. Getting to be two characters that have completely different personalities has been challenging but great! Shows that she's been involved in in the past are Help Desk, Shrek, Mary Poppins, Tarzan, Cinderella, Anne, The Yellow Boat, and Bad Auditions. Some things that she likes are snowboarding, anime, music, spending time with her dog, taekwondo, and videogames. To her dog: Hi Sophie! Thank you for being her best friend! This year was interesting because typically for one acts like these she would be the lights person but she gets to be an actor this year which is really fun.
Land, aka Skippy, will be playing the role of Kurt Starr in The Planning Party. The most challenging part has been working over Zoom, everything from lighting to poor connections to projecting the character through a screen. The most enjoyable part has been working with the rest of the cast and crew, even though we can’t be in person, it’s been great to be able to have something for drama this year. Land has previously participated in the production of Annie (2019), playing the role of Drake, the butler, Kellin, the dramatic theater actor in Bad Auditions on Camera (2021) and two roles in Help Desk (2021); Brent, a provider of illegal services and Stuart, a bored and somewhat sarcastic manager. He enjoys snowboarding, acting, playing music, singing and spending time with friends, family and cats. He would like to thank everyone who helped make this show possible.
Andrea Sanders, co-writer of the Planning Party will be playing Alex Rock, the successful rockstar from Lincoln High school. Andrea has been part of all the virtual productions this year and was thrilled to help write The Planning Party alongside her life long best friend Madeline King and a new friend Christopher Dukeshire. She is very proud of what was accomplished with this script and hope that everyone will enjoy it as much as she has. She is extremely proud of everyone who has been part of making this show possible. This year has been quite different with performing. From Bad Auditions to now, everyone has gotten used to this virtual format and has definitely learned to make the most of it and this show will be no exception. She can not wait to see the script come to life with everyone playing the character who is perfect for them. She hopes that you enjoy the fun, quirky characters in this show and hopefully the next time you hear from the Dramatic Arts Ensemble, we will be on a stage. Enjoy The Planning Party!
Asa is playing the character Aimee California. She has noticed that everyone is very into their character in this performance. Other shows that she's been in are Help Desk and Once Upon A Remote Control. Some hobbies that she likes to do in her free time are figure skating, singing, and painting. She’d like to thank her family for helping her do this.
Hudson Dukette is excited to play the role of Kenny California in The Planning Party! He has enjoyed not having to go anywhere to do this show, although sometimes he finds it challenging to be on time. He participated in elementary drama in fourth grade, and this is his second show with the BFA Dramatic Arts Ensemble. Hudson likes to read and play video games. He also goes to karate. He would like to thank his dad.
Mallory is very excited to participate in the production The Planning Party as the role of Anastasia! Doing a show over Zoom is hard, but Mallory has really enjoyed being a part of it all. Mallory participated in a couple of elementary drama productions and she really enjoyed it! She was in Help Desk, a mixed up version of Hansel and Gretel, and Kid Frankenstein. A hobby Mallory enjoys outside of drama is dancing. She has been dancing since she was three. Mallory would like to give a shout-out to all of her friends and family for always supporting her, and most importantly to the drama directors for this amazing opportunity! Enjoy the show!

She enjoys spending time in the woods or up a tree, trains at a karate dojo, likes weaving, carving and other handcrafts and is working to become an Eagle Scout. She is spending this spring and summer training her German Shepherd puppy. Quincy is very glad that we’re able to have drama virtually and is looking forward to when we can act in-person. She played Lt. Ward in Annie last year and this year she wrote and played the role of Rowan in Bad Auditions… On Camera and played the roles of Masha and Chase in Help Desk. Quincy would like to thank her brother, Land, for driving her to and from the school, and Mrs. Maynard for keeping her involved in chorus and drama this year.

Isabel is very excited to be playing Sonya in the play. One of her favorite things about this show was seeing how other scenes turned out. Isabel has been in the elementary school plays Hansel and Gretel as the Fairy Frogmother, Once Upon A Remote Control as Lady-in-Waiting 4, and in Bad Auditions on Camera, playing Phyllis. She likes to read, do puzzles, play softball, and make music with her family. She also loves the Beatles! Isabel would like to thank her best friend and her scenemate for helping her prepare for the show.
Ally, as some people call her Alzie, Mafoi, and Al, is conquering the role of Olivia Sheldon in the most recent show, The Planning Party. Already she has enjoyed working with such a good group of people and stepping out of her comfort zone. In the past, Ally has helped put together logos for the past production of Help Desk. Outside the academic world she enjoys listening to and collecting records, drawing, writing, and takes interest in biology. Ally would just like to say “Hi!” to Harley and that here's to her beyond perfect friends that make her laugh and love life, while also pushing her to the limits. She could not be more proud of the initiative and perseverance it took for them to put this together.
This year, Wyeth Haddock is playing Ulysses in The Planning Party. He has had a lot of fun playing with his character, especially considering that it has all been virtual. While this has all been a bit challenging and confusing on zoom, he has found that it’s nothing he can’t handle. Wyeth has participated in theatre since elementary school, most recently portraying Vinny in Help Desk, Roger in Bad Auditions On Camera, Lord Pinkleton in Cinderella, Eddie in the Yellow Boat, Daddy Warbucks in Annie, and Julien Poydras in Lafayette No. 1. In his free time, Wyeth likes to run and bike, do schoolwork, and eat soup. He would like to thank the producers and directors who have made this challenging show possible. Wyeth would also like to thank you for tuning in to the show!
Christopher is the cinematography director and Jesse in The Planning Party. Something that has made this show challenging is that we can't see one another in person. However, it makes it a lot easier to edit and record because he can do it all on 1 device. A few past shows Christopher has been a part of are Help Desk, The Wizard of Oz, and Shakespeare in Hollywood. He is not only an editor and videographer, but also an actor. Christopher chose to take a break from acting and just do cinematography this year. He will also try pretty much any sport.
Bridget is playing Jackie in The Planning Party. It has been an interesting challenge to do the play without being able to see each other in person. In the past, Bridget has been in Help Desk, Once Upon a Remote Control, and Kid Frankenstein. She enjoys reading, drawing, and playing soccer. Bridget wants to thank her mom and dad for being very supportive!
Finn Benedict is very excited to be playing Josh Rogers. He likes being the clown at the help desk! It's a lot like his last role as Rory the Chicken Man in Bad Auditions... On Camera. In the past, he has also been a part of the 3rd and 4th grade drama program. He enjoys video games, drawing, reading, and lacrosse. Shout out to Payton, Finn is so glad that he is back at BFA.
John Tague (also known as Mr. Tague) is playing State Senator Robert Radcliffe in the Friday and Saturday evening performances of The Planning Party. He is excited to have a chance to be a part of the production, although scheduling to be at rehearsals has been difficult. In the past, Mr. Tague has done set construction and backstage for BFA musical productions The Addams Family, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, and Suessical. In high school, he played Hugo Peobody in Bye Bye Birdie. He wants to thank the cast for letting him be a part of the show, and he wants to thank Ben and Abi for getting him involved in BFA drama!
Justin Brown, sometimes referred to as Principal Brown, has a cameo as State Senator Robert Radcliffe during Saturday’s Matinee show. He has enjoyed being invited to take part in this play with such a talented troupe of actors. Principal Brown has also had minor roles in the CHS performances of the Wizard of Oz and Variety Night. When he’s not principaling he can be seen running around town or puttering in his gardens. He also wants to say “way to go, ASA!” for her role in The Planning Party (and for grudgingly sharing the screen with her dad). Enjoy the show!
Previously a techie in the One Acts never seen production of Lafayette #1, Caelyn (aka CJ) is both scared and excited for the production of Planning Party. As she has never acted in a show before, it is quite scary to suddenly be in one and not have much experience. She could go on for a whole page or more on her hobbies, interests, and activities that she likes but this is supposed to be a short paragraph. Caelyn’s favorite hobbies, interests, and activities are dance and performing arts, art, creative writing, design, music, travelling the world, learning new languages, swimming, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She would also like to shout out her awesome friend and theatre bro, Maddie King! And also the awesome siblings Land and Quincy.
Kagan is excited to play the part of Rodney May in The Planning Party! He is so excited to be able to act, even though it is only through zoom and not on the school stage. Previously, Kagan has played Young Tarzan in Tarzan, the Duke of Chesire in Cinderella, and Burt Healy in Annie! He loves to participate in all levels of arts, as he does band and he is an all state singer in chorus. Outside of the arts, Kagan likes to swim, ski, hang out with his friends, and travel. Kagan would like to thank his parents for always being supportive and for his brother for never lying about anything.
Adrienne Antonovich is playing the character Detective Carla Holmes in the play this year. She loves that we can still do drama during coronavirus although it has been hard to do it. She has been part of two 4th and 5th grade plays as Hilda in Hoka Poka, and Mrs. Newton in Kid Frankenstein. She also was in Annie as one of the lead orphan Kate. Things Adreinne really enjoys doing in her free time is art, ice skating and, of course, drama.
Nicholas 'Nic' Torraca is playing the part of Francis in The Planning Party. Nicholas has enjoyed the humor that Francis has brought to the show. He has been a part of the one acts Help Desk, Bad Auditions... On Camera, and the past musical productions of Annie and Cinderella. One of his interests is DND.
Madeline King is playing the role of Connie Spencer in The Planning Party, and she is also one of the writers with other cast members Christopher Dukeshire and Andrea Sanders! She is very grateful to have had the opportunity to write and collaborate on a play that the ensemble will perform, and she hopes that everyone will have as much fun watching it as she did writing it. This is the first zoom play she’s written, but in the past she’s played Angel and Tamara in Help Desk, and has helped out backstage with musicals Mary Poppins, Tarzan, Cinderella, and Annie, and one acts Lafayette No. 1, Bad Auditions… On Camera, and Help Desk. When she’s not doing drama, Madeline likes to read, write, make art, play musical instruments, play Ultimate, and look at birds with her cats. They are pretty interesting. She wants to thank her family and friends for being so supportive, and thank everyone who helped make it possible to put on The Planning Party! Enjoy the show!
These are the directors who are helping out with The Planning Party.
Sara Villeneuve (aka Ville) is a member of the director team. It has been really exciting to see the creativity of our students and teachers. People have really risen to the challenge and proved to be resilient and creative. She is excited by the energy and enthusiasm of the students. She has been directing one act performances at BFA Fairfax for almost 20 years as well as fall productions before the school started musicals. As a student at BFA Fairfax, she also was in a variety of shows. She loves having students write, direct, and produce the shows in collaboration with the directorial team. Spending time with family and friends is what she looks forward to the most. She loves warm Vermont summers and spending time outside together. Sara loves to travel and see the world. Huge shout out to her family; Craig, Anna and Camden for their willingness to support rehearsal nights and keep the show running at home. Also to all of the students and her colleagues for supporting the arts at BFA Fairfax.
Christy grew up in a small town in Western New York and was raised in a musical family. Her parents had a Rock/Country/ Bluegrass band and they practiced at her home every Wednesday night. It was the highlight of the week for her and soon she was playing the violin and singing. Christy majored in music education/voice at SUNY Fredonia where she had the privilege to sing with the Fredonia Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Donald Lang. While singing with the Chamber Singers, Christy had the opportunity to travel around New York State as well as England, Scotland, and Wales performing concerts at schools, churches, and cathedrals. Christy has taught music in Florida and Vermont. Some of her responsibilities now include teaching Middle and High School Choruses, General Music, taking students to district and all state music festivals, and preparing the singers for the musical. Christy would like to thank the other drama teachers for the new opportunity to work on a play.
When she was in high school, her nickname was Allama, because of a Barenaked Ladies song. She hasn't had a role in any drama productions yet, other than a dancing cupcake in “The Importance of Staging Earnest” in 2020, but someday she would like to play Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, or if she could sing, Éponine in Les Mis. She is so impressed with this play written by students and she loves seeing how they imagine a 10 year high school reunion will be like. She likes learning new languages, playing Japanese drums, cooking and baking, and she likes pineapple on her pizza. Shout out to Nic Torraca for being in all THREE dramatic productions this year! She's very proud of you!
These are the techies and 'backstage' hands who are helping out with The Planning Party.
It's still a ghost ship..... ooOOoOoOoooooo, spooky......
Just kidding.
Madeline and Christopher are still helping out behind the scenes as website manager and chief video editor (respectively), and But Madeline doesn't think people will want to read their bios twice, so instead there is a doodle of a boat with ghosts. Enjoy.
