BFA-Fairfax uses PowerTeacher Pro (high school) and Schoology (middle school) to track and report students' progress. Student progress on the Graduation Proficiencies is assessed through their demonstration of their understanding of Content Indicators. Progress on Indicators can be seen in the PowerTeacher Pro portal. See directions below. Additionally, in all courses, students are working toward applying and demonstrating their Transferable Skill Proficiencies and Indicators.
Learner Traits, which assess the habits of being a responsible and engaged student, are reported separately from the Graduation Proficiencies and Transferable Skills. It is students' adequate demonstration of the Learner Traits that allows them to participate in co-curricular activities such as athletics and dramatic productions.
BFA- Fairfax uses student progress on the Learner Traits to determine eligibility for Co-curricular activities.
