Memorial Park Middle School
Vision
Memorial Park Middle School will provide a rigorous and enriching educational experience with emphasis on the Fine Arts and STEAM Education.
Memorial Park Middle School
Mission
Memorial Park Middle School will engage all students in the development of 21st Century Skills, educate all students to high standards, and prepare all students to excel within their chosen college and/or career path.
Connection between Mission/Vision and Indiana's Priorities for STEM Education
School leadership, and teachers alike, at Memorial Park Middle School fully support Indiana's Priorities for STEM Education. While focusing on STEAM within daily lessons, unit designs, and course offerings, the ultimate goal of our instruction is to develop among our students the foundational skills of collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. Our focus on these skills has prompted us to reconsider our teaching practices, leverage technology within instruction, engage teachers in collaborative and meaningful professional learning, and develop impactful curriculum that connects our students to the world around them. As we have engaged in this journey as a school, we are confident that we are "preparing the next generation of thinkers, creators, advocates, and entrepreneurs," as is the goal of Indiana's Priorities for STEM Education.

She has used technology to reach out to the community during and after the pandemic. Kate's focusing on how she can prepare students to be prepared people and community leaders in their future avenues that they take in life.

Ms. Squibb
Hi. My name is Deb Squibb. I have been in education for 45+ years. I have always strived to make much of my science instruction hands on. After, working with Discovery Ed for four years and Memorial Park’s move toward STEAM…I have developed a great appreciation for the use of STEAM activities while doing science instruction. The collaboration with teachers in other disciplines has been a positive one and the students talk about how they are working on the same topic in other areas. They are starting to understand how the different disciplines connect.
Our Steam Family nights and Community partnerships have and will greatly advance the building of our STEAM focus.
