The energy and commitment shown by our student athletes this past term have been nothing short of inspiring! We are incredibly proud of the medals secured, the sportsmanship displayed, and the drive our teams show to constantly improve. As we transition to the winter schedules, we have a packed calendar of competitive and community events ahead. Read on for a recap of our successes and a look at the exciting challenges coming up!

🏆 Season Highlights: August to November

Football Season Dominance ⚽

• Football District Championship (September 25th): Our athletes proved they are the best in the region! Our Girls Team became Best in Stockholm! Our Senior Girls and Boys also secured a 2nd and 3rd place finish.

• Swedish Masters Football: While both our Girls and Boys teams didn't advance this year, we view this as a powerful learning experience. We are already stronger and smarter and ready to come back fighting for better results next year!

• Stockholm International League (October 17th): What a spectacular showing! Our teams demonstrated a phenomenal effort, resulting in a major medal haul: 2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal.

Special Event Recap: Autumn Break Sports Day 🎉

We wrapped up the term just before Höstlov (Autumn Break) with an unforgettable Sports Day dedicated to our sport profile students! Every activity was designed to be extremely fun, including Laser Tag, Disco Bowling 🎳, Trampoline Park 🤸, Padel 🎾, Pickleball 🥒, and Adventure Golf ⛳.

We also held a valuable theory session featuring a National Team Basketball Player 🏀 and a professional Football Player ⚽ who shared invaluable insights into overcoming personal challenges as a pro athlete.

📅 Upcoming Action: November to April

Events are listed in chronological order.

November: Best in Stockholm Pursuit

• Floorball District Masters (In two weeks, on Tuesday) 🏑: We are sending our Floorball teams to the District Masters in Vallentuna, where they will be playing for the coveted title of Best in Stockholm!

November/December: Winter Training Begins

• Indoor Football Training (Starting Week 48) ⚽: Our dedicated Football Profile athletes will be moving indoors! Training starts at the excellent facilities at Supercenter Soccer Enebyberg.

• Volleyball International Tournament (Week 49) 🏐: We are hosting a major Volleyball Tournament for all international Stockholm schools across two separate days for our Junior and Senior athletes.

• Swedish Masters Basketball (Starting December) 🏀: Both our Girls and Boys teams will begin the group play phase. Let’s see if we can make it to the finals in Norrköping!

February: Double the International Competition

• Stockholm International Badminton League 🏸: We will be sending our top players to compete in this prestigious league event—a brilliant chance for our most skilled athletes to face high-level international competition.

• Defending Our Title: Ice Hockey District Championship (February 12th) 🏒: We will be heading to the rink to defend our title as Best in Stockholm in Ice Hockey!

  • Event Details: The School District Championship in Ice Hockey will be in collaboration with and at Ice Academy, Albybergsringen 110, 137 69 Österhaninge. The Championship is played on smaller rinks in a 3-on-3 format plus a goalie. Come and enjoy the atmosphere, with sponsors like CCM and local partners, food available for purchase, and a DJ playing in the arena!

March/April: Basketball Focus

• Stockholm International League (March) 🏀: In March, we will host the Stockholm International League of Basketball again, where our campus will be bursting with competition and talent!

• Defending Our Title: Basketball District Masters (April) 🏆: We have a championship to protect! We are preparing the teams to defend our title of being Best in Stockholm!

🌟 Community & Commitment: Making Our School the Best Place to Be

We are constantly looking for events and opportunities to make our school fun, challenging, and worth spending your time with us. This commitment is shared throughout our community:

• Parent Power in Ice Hockey 👪: We set the first steps to take over the organization of the Swedish Masters of Ice Hockey, thanks to the support of a dedicated small parents group! This is a fantastic feeling—it shows that our parents are also getting involved and want to invest their time to make our school an incredible place to be!

Go Team! We look forward to seeing our athletes continue to thrive. Your support, both on the sidelines and through the parents' volunteering efforts, makes all the difference!
