Homework & Absences
Homework Help
Most nights, students will have a math book page assigned for homework. They should also be reading 30 minutes each night. Math homework, when assigned, is due the next day. Occasionally, if students are not able to complete an assignment in class, I may require them to finish at home. All assignments should be recorded daily in the student agenda, which parents should sign to verify completion.
If you forgot your math homework, the homework book is posted in Google Classroom.
Absent Work
Sometimes, we have to miss school. That's ok! If you are sick, the most important thing is that you rest and recover. If you are feeling up to it, you can complete a few things at home to keep up with us while you are out.
Check the weekly overview to see what topics were covered in class (posted below)
Log on to Google Classroom with your FUSD account. There, you will find links to your math book, math video lessons, your Benchmark magazine, and all Benchmark packets.
For math:
Review the video for that day's lesson. Print and complete the math book pages for that day, or do the work on a piece of plain paper. Complete the homework page.
For ELA:
Read, or reread, the story we are working on for the week. The text is available through Clever or is posted by Unit in Google Classroom.
Use the daily activity calendar posted to do a few activities related to this week's lessons and learning targets
You can also work on pages from the pink (grammar and spelling) or yellow (close reading) packets that are posted, if you know what pages you are supposed to complete. If not, don't worry!
For Social Studies:
You can access your social studies texts through Clever. If it is a social studies day, read through the next section and complete the notes page.
