Your student will receive a physical copy of the syllabus on the first day of school, however I have also attached a digital copy to the left.

Grades will be weighted based on the following categories:
Test/quizzes……………………………………60%
Classwork/Projects……………………….40%
Make-up Tests must be completed within one week of the original test date.
Tests retakes/corrections may be completed for up to 70% credit within one week of receiving test scores. It is your responsibility to set up an appointment for test retakes/make-ups. Email Ms. Holmes to set up an appointment.
I have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for cheating. If you are caught cheating, you will receive a ZERO for the assignment and a referral.
Grades are assigned using a 5 point scale
The 4-Point scale is as follows:
5.0-----------100%
4.5-----------95%
4.0-----------90%
3.5-----------85%
3.0-----------80%
2.5-----------75%
2.0-----------70%
1.0-----------60%
0/Inc--------50%
Note: assignments will be randomly collected and graded for ACCURACY, but all assignments are equally important.
Grades will be broken down as follows:
A 90.0%-100.0%
B 80.0%-89.9%
C 70.0%-79.9%
D 60.0%-69.9%
F 59.9% and below
Follow due dates and turn in assignments with your name on the assignment.
LATE WORK will be accepted up until the last day of the unit (usually test day) without penalty. Additionally, late work will be graded more rigorously and graded after all assignments that were turned in on-time.
It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check Google Classroom or the absent binder for missed work. You will have the same number of days absent to make-up the work, if you have an excused absence. (i.e. if you are absent for 2 days, you will have 2 school days to complete the assignment upon returning).
Arrive to class prepared and on time.
*Students will be marked as tardy if they are not in their seat with their materials ready when the bell rings.

Computer/Technology Terms of Use:
Classroom computers are to be used for science related work only(no inappropriate websites, social communication, or game playing).
Students must only use the computer that has been assigned to them (based on your desk).
Settings may not be changed or altered (browser extensions included).
Computers may NOT be used to check grades or sign up for FLEX. That is to be done at home.
**Any computer/technology misuse will result in immediate loss of privileges, zero on the assignment, and/or disciplinary action.
If any expectations are broken, the following disciple will take place.
One warning will be given.

Binder paper
Calculator (a simple calculator is alright)
