    Meet The Teacher

My name is Manpreet Kaur!

I am excited to be a Math and Science teacher this year at Horner Middle School. This will be my first year at Horner, though I have been teaching for the past four years. I earned my teaching credentials from Santa Clara University and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from India. In addition, I have over three years of experience as a Lecturer  at a semi-public college in India.

I moved to California in 2012 and have lived here since. I have been married to my wonderful husband since 2010, and we have three children. I am very connected to my family here in the U.S. as well as in my hometown in India.

As a teacher, my goal is to motivate students to reach their full potential and encourage them to extend their own personal limits. My cultural background allows me to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and help them feel included and supported. Over my teaching experience, I have developed skills that foster both social and intellectual growth. I hope to serve as a positive role model, helping students develop strong social skills and a love of learning that will stay with them beyond the classroom.
