Social Emotional Learning

What is Social Emotional Learning?

Social Emotional Learning works to add another dimension to education improving communication, cooperation, and decision making.   Through four major units (Skills for Learning, Empathy, Emotion Management, and Problem Solving) several 21st century skills are targeted, modeled, and practiced throughout the school year during classroom counseling lessons facilitated by your school counselors. On these pages you will find several resources to continue social emotional engagement at home through the interactive games, videos, and tools.

Mindfulness and Wellness Tools

Coping and being mindful are important skills for children to learn and practice.  We have created a library of child friendly videos, activities, and images to engage our students while also actively practicing these skills to help them be successful in this time of distance learning.

Counseling Lessons

The normal routine of Fallbrook Union Elementary schools involves students receiving a counseling lesson at least once a month, to continue this practice, past and future counseling lessons can be found here.
