Why do educators care so much about sources?
Citing sources is key for avoiding plagiarism, giving credit to the creators of the information you have used, and verifying your work. It allows viewers of your work to find the information you've used so they can learn more, and so they can check to see whether they agree with your assessment of what you quote. Anything you read, listen to, or watch was created by someone, and when you give them credit for their work, you show respect for their efforts, just as you would want for yourself. If you use someone else's words as a quote with proper citation, you acknowledge that these are someone else's words, and reduce the chances that you might be accused of plagiarism or cheating. Passing off work as your own that you have not done (yes, even from ChatGPT or other AI tools) is considered plagiarism, and can put your credit for the project and even your class at risk.

Anything checked out to you but not due yet just needs to be returned before the end of the school year.
Anything listed under Fines or Fees needs to either be paid or returned, and usually if it is returned we can completely clear your associated fines.
You can return library books and textbooks from other schools to Ms. Shipp in the library! Just be sure to give them to her instead of leaving them in the book drop. Sometimes books have been deleted from the system, so we have to look them up on your profile, and we want to make sure they get cleared from the right account.
