Classroom Behavior Expectations:

Students are expected to follow the "Big Three" (being respectful, cooperative, and responsible) related to our Positive Behavior Support (PBS) program in Deaf Elementary. Students earn "tickets" when exemplifying these characteristics and there is a drawing at the end of each month for gifts!

Money/Behavior System:

  • Our class uses money to manage student behavior. Throughout the day, students earn money for being on task, helping others, cleaning up, and trying hard. The students save their money all week and if all work is complete by Friday afternoon, they are allowed to go to the classroom store to shop. This is a great way to incorporate additional math and social studies skills as the students learn to count, spend, and save their money! Some students may have to save for more than one week to buy something expensive!

Each student starts on 1 - seed every day. The have the opportunity to "clip up" and "grow" throughout the day for staying on task during a lesson, helping others, and trying their best.
