Return-To-School Plan In Response To COVID-19

Welcome to Fruitvale ISD

COVID-19 Return-To-School Plan

OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY IS THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR

STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND STAFF.

*Changes to public health situations over the course of the school year may necessitate changes to this guidance.

Addendum 10/15/2020:

Based on data from the first nine weeks, Fruitvale ISD will allow virtual and hybrid students who have maintained a 75 average in every class and 95% attendance virtually to continue to participate in asynchronous instruction the 2nd nine weeks. If they did not maintain these two cut points they must return to in person school beginning the 2nd nine weeks. Students in regular school who want to choose to go to virtual instruction after the first nine weeks will need to have a 90 average in all classes and a 95% attendance rate, or be sent home for quarantine, or a documented medical reason to be in virtual courses at home.

We have created this plan to aid in navigating the reestablishment of our school where employees, students, and families feel safe and to reduce the impact of COVID-19 conditions upon returning to the district. The guidelines referenced in this plan are based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). Regular updates will be made to this plan based on information provided by the CDC, WHO, and applicable federal, state and local agencies.
