Students, we’re now halfway through the first marking period, so it’s a good time to check your grades! Look at your scores in Genesis and talk with your teachers if you have questions.
If you see an assignment you can improve, here’s what to do:
1. Fix or redo the assignment (check teacher comments or ask for help).- *must be within the same unit of study that is currently being worked on
2. Turn it in again.
3. Fill out the Google form below so your teacher knows to update your score on Genesis.
** You can earn half the points back for improved work.
Homework is scored on a 3–2–1–0 scale:
3 points: Assignment is complete and turned in on time (points are not deducted for mistakes, always try your best).
2 points: Assignment is either turned in late but complete, or turned in on time but only partially complete.
1 point: Assignment is late or incomplete. (Students must show their work to Mrs. Brace or Mrs. Mitchell and complete the “Missing Work” Google Form found in the ELA Google Classroom.)
0 points: Assignment is missing.
**all work needs to be completed within the unit of study
