Word Study
Students study word patterns and meanings as they make connections to words and apply them in their reading, writing, and speaking.
In fourth grade, we build on student background knowledge from the Fundations curriculum used in kindergarten, first, and second grade as well as the Word Study That Sticks curriculum used in third grade. These programs support students as they apply their prior knowledge to new words and patterns.
