Reading and Writing
We started our poetry unit!
We focused on figurative language, rhythm, and rhyme
We celebrated Read Across America with trivia, read books from our Read Across America team, had a guest reader Mrs. Thompson, and read books in the hallway for All School DEAR (Drop Everything And Read)
Math
We practiced our addition and subtraction with measurement units of length, time, and volume
Our next math test is planned for Wednesday, March 11
Social Studies
We started our new unit on telling the story of our state
We compared New Jersey timelines and formulated open-ended and closed-ended questions we'd like to explore about New Jersey history
Each week a student or group of students will write a family letter to let you know what we've been doing in school in their own words. We don't edit these letters, but we are available to check them if students want us to.
Check out our letter by Lauren and Stefany!
