Please refer to the Classroom Expectations Sheet for your Science class (by clicking on the links below), to better understand the policies and procedures of our class this year. This sheet is also posted to each student's Google Classroom Science Page and was handed out during our first class together.
Students are expected to know the safety rules and procedures for our classroom/lab and practice them when working during class time. Safety is always reviewed throughout the year, with individual investigations. However, students will review common-knowledge safety measures to ensure a safe beginning of the school year and demonstrate they understand how to do SAFE science before we delve into major labs. Students must submit a signed Safety Contract and pass the Safety "Thing" to participate in lab activities.

The following MATERIALS ARE NEEDED to help keep you organized in science and should be obtained on your own:
Pencil (Pens are not the best tool to use when recording data or completing the math that will be used this year.)
Correcting Pens/Pencil
The following MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED TO YOU, AND NEED TO COME WITH YOU TO CLASS:
CHARGED Chromebook
Science Workbook
Science Folder (We clean out our folders after each trimester so they don't overflow and break!)
Assignment Pad/Agenda (Assignment Books will be checked, from time to time, to be sure you are recording your assignments!)
The following will be available in the lab for you to use, but you may also want your own set of materials to work with at home.
Colored Pencils
Loose Leaf Notebook Paper (for additional notes, students may choose to add to their folder)
Highlighters
Ruler/Straight-edge
Calculator (No need for the graphing variety - scientific is fine! You can use your Chromebook too!)
During the school year, Team 7-3 students will be completing a number of projects and investigations that may require additional materials. Many times, these are items from around the house that require no additional purchase. Students have brought in domino sets, cardboard paper towel tubes, and empty cereal boxes, as examples from years past.
