Mrs. BRACKETT

Welcome Tadlock Families! My name is Tracey Brackett  and  with nearly two decades of experience in elementary education, I am thrilled to embark on my 19th year teaching 4th grade math, science, and social studies at Tadlock Elementary. My academic journey began with an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Collin County Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown. I further enhanced my expertise by earning a Master's in Education and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. Currently, I am pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership, reflecting my commitment to continuous professional growth.

As a dedicated educator, I strive to foster a love of learning and cultivate strong relationships with my students. My extensive educational background, combined with my personal experiences as a wife, mother, grandmother, and mentor, enables me to inspire and guide my students effectively. I am honored to be a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society and have earned recognition on the Dean’s List for my academic achievements.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, I relocated to Texas in 1997, where I have built a fulfilling life with my husband, Latane, with whom I have been happily married for over 28 years. Together, we are proud parents of three wonderful children: Ta'Cara, Latane, and Lance. We cherish our family connections, often enjoying moments together via FaceTime.

As a grandmother to two inquisitive grandsons, Isaiah (10) and Carter (8), I delight in watching them explore their passions for swimming, creative play, and technology. Their curiosity and growth inspire me daily, and it is a true blessing to witness their development into strong leaders.

I am passionate about making a positive impact on my students’ lives and am dedicated to helping them achieve their academic goals while fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
