Coach Rodriguez

Hello! My Name is Derek Rodriguez and I am excited to start my 14th year at Purefoy Elementary as the PE teacher. I graduated from Midwestern State University with a BS in Kinesiology.

I met my beautiful wife, Tiffany, while in college and we got married in March 2012. We have a daughter named Ellie, who just turned 8 in June and a son named Bennett, who turned 5 in April. We have 2 dogs, named Abby and Leo. I enjoy doing anything outside when I get the chance, including golf, kayaking, camping, bike riding, rock climbing, and any type of sports, especially soccer. I am a sports fanatic year-round and am a huge fan of the Cowboys, Rangers, and of course the Spurs.

I love my job and can't wait to be active in the gym! 

Coach Baggett

Hello my name is Jolene Baggett and I am very blessed to call Purefoy my second home! After working in the Purefoy AlphaBest program, I realized I wanted to actually be a part of the Purefoy family full time and was hired on as the computer teacher in 2014.  I later transitioned into the role of Flex aide in 2015. This is my 11th year at Purefoy and I love that my job keeps me active. 

   I have been married to my husband Chris for 21 years and we have two amazing children. Our son Ryan is 19 years old and just graduated as a United States Marine. Our daughter Isabella is 17 years old and is a Varsity Cheerleader at Lone Star High School.  We live in Little Elm along with our 5 dogs (Sarge, Daisy, Peanut, Bolt and Cookie) and two cats (Big Foot and Smokey). 

   I enjoy the great outdoors which includes any opportunity I get to go camping, fishing, rock crawling in my husband's jeep (scary but FUN), swimming in my pool, walking all our dogs and spending quality time with my family.

  I can't think of a better place to work than Purefoy! The students are my "why" and I love watching them grow into their own characters.  They have blessed me more then they will ever know!

Coach Gibbens

Hi there! My name is Christie Gibbens and this  will be my 3rd year at Purefoy. The last 2 years I worked in special education. This year I will be joining the specials team. I’m very excited to see all our of amazing students in PE. 

I have been married to my husband, Adrian for 12 years. We have 1 beautiful daughter named Bryn. She is in 4th grade here at Purefoy. 

Prior to starting a family I worked in the Aviation Industry. I have bachelor’s degree in Aviation Administration. I also hold an FAA aircraft dispatch license. My love for airplanes has sparked my love for traveling.  We love to travel all summer long.
