The Orchestra program in Frisco ISD is known as one of the most outstanding and competitive in the country. We maintain that reputation of excellence at Pioneer Heritage Middle School today. The Pioneer Heritage Orchestra program is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence in music making. We encourage the physical, social, and emotional well-being of our students and strive to provide the best music education experience possible for them. The program is growing each year and continues to earn superior Sweepstakes ratings at UIL contests and music festivals across North Texas. We are excited to have you as a member of our Pioneer Heritage Orchestra family!
How to Join Beginning Orchestra
*Beginning Orchestra is for students with zero or limited experience and want to learn how to play a string instrument!
Select "Orchestra" as your first choice on your course selection card for the 24-25 school year
Attend the Instrument Selection & Fitting Event on Saturday, January 20th (sign-up here)
Rent an instrument and purchase the "PHMS Orchestra" supply package through Dallas Strings

Auditions for Students with Previous Playing Experience

Audiiton Deadline: April 19, 2024 at 11:59pm
(*Students are not required to audition if they would like to be in Orchestra, however they will be placed in either Intermediate or Advanced Orchestra depending on the questionaire feedback and years of playing experience.)
