Monthly Character Strengths

Each month at Mooneyham we will focus on one character strength which will be taught explicity by the school counselor in guidance lessons as well as the classroom teacher in morning meetings. At the end of each month, one boy and one girl from each grade level will be recognized for their display of the character strength that month at Good Morning Mooneyham. Parents are welcome to attend this celebration and are encouraged to support their children in developing these skills and strengths throughout the year. 

The Character Strengths were identified and developed through Character Lab. More detailed information on each strength can be found on their website.
