Hello Liscano 5th Grade Families!! 

My name Is Kyle Barnes and I am SO excited to be back at Liscano with the amazing 5th grade team for another great year. Fifth grade is so special and I couldn't be happier to be your teacher.  

I was born in Texas but grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and Massapequa, New York. I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, with an ESL endorsement, and a minor in special education.  This will be my third year at Liscano, but my 6th year as a 5th grade Reading/Social Studies teacher. 

I spent this past summer making fun memories with my husband, Logan, and my daughter, Teddy! I have two cats named Ruby and Riggs. Both are big troublemakers, so I'm sure you will hear some stories this year.  Some of my favorite things to do are hanging with my friends and book club, trying new restaurants, and shopping for shoes. 

I cannot wait to make this your BEST year yet!
