Hi Fisher families and students! My name is Brenna Heald and I am excited to say this will be my 14th year at Fisher and my 28th year of being an educator. I have taught mainly 3rd and 4th grade and am SO happy to be returning to 4th grade this year with a great team!!
I have been married to my husband, Michael for 28 years and we have a twenty- year old son named Hunter. He works at Cosm in Grandscape and is an absolute joy to be around. Our family enjoys watching movies, eating out, and going to the beach.
I am thrilled to start another great year in 4th grade!!
I am beginning my 17th year of teaching and my 10th year at Fisher!! I earned my Bachelor’s from The University of North Texas. I also hold an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
My husband, David, and I have a 10 ½-year-old son, David Jr. (5th grade at Fisher!). We spend our free time relaxing by the pool and spending time with our families.
It's going to be a great year in 4th grade!
My name is Victoria Ornelas, and I am very excited to be teaching reading and writing in 4th grade this year! My partner teacher is Mrs. Rosa (math, science, and social studies). I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2007 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. This will be my 18th year teaching and 12th year here at Fisher.
My husband, Al and I have three kiddos! Our son, Eli, is a Freshman at Wakeland. Our daughter, Abigail, will be a 7th grader this year at Cobb! Our youngest, August, is in 1st grade here at Fisher! We have a lot of fun working out, playing football, dancing, cheering, playing with our dog, Cookie, and going on road trips!
I also enjoy reading, live music, running, audiobooks, and learning new ways to keep my family healthy! I am so excited about this year in fourth and can't wait to share my joy of reading and writing. We will learn a lot, grow, smile, and enjoy the journey.
Hi everyone! I am approaching my 25th year of teaching and it will be my fourteenth school year at Fisher. I taught for 8 years with Plano ISD and 3 years in Guam. I get to share students with Mrs. Ornelas, teaching Math, Science and Social Studies.
I am a true island girl, born and raised on the U.S. territory of Guam. I graduated from the University of Guam with a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1997. I knew I wanted to become a teacher even before I was born! My late mother was an educator on the island for over 20 years. She surrounded me with the world of teaching and it was the only thing I knew and wanted so much to be a part of it.
My husband and I, along with our four daughters, grace our household: Nately (26) lives in California and is anticipating a position in counseling or education; Bela (18) is a freshman at Collin College majoring in marketing; Elena (14) is a rising freshman at Wakeland, and lastly Sofia (13) is completing her 8th grade year at Cobb. We also have a pineapple green cheek conure named Myka that flies freely at home! My family means the world to me. Together we love to spend time with each other doing fun things and eating great food! I am looking forward to what the school year brings with our Fisher kiddos!
Hello, my name is Jaime Sterrett. This will be my sixth year teaching and my second year teaching 4th grade! I will be teaching reading and writing this year.
I grew up in Burleson, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Physics.
Family means everything to me and being Aunt Jaime is the best. I am very thankful to have 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
In my free time I love to read, run, travel, write, paint, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with friends and family. I also have 2 rescue pets. Lily is a German Short-haired pointer mix and Sunny is a fluffy brown tabby cat.
I am excited for this year in fourth grade with you! I know it's going to be a great year!
My name is Jacalyn Volentine (pronounced like Valentine) and I am so excited to start my seventh year here at Fisher! This will be my tenth year teaching!
I attended the University of North Texas where I graduated with my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I spent my first three years of teaching in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, and have been at Fisher ever since. I have spent all my years in kindergarten, until now!! I am so excited to join the fourth grade team! Math has always been my favorite subject, so I am excited to teach math, science, & social studies this year!
My husband, Trey, and I have been married for almost 8 years. We have a daughter named Riley, who turned two in May, and a cat named Paisley.
