Classroom Guidance
Classroom Guidance Lessons
Classroom guidance gives me a chance to meet with all Smith students in their classrooms! The elementary guidance program in Frisco I.S.D. is preventive in nature and is designed to promote students' academic success, personal/social development, and interpersonal effectiveness. Topics include identifying and managing feelings, anti-bullying, developing friendships, problem-solving skills, making healthy choices, appreciating diversity, and learning about career and educational opportunities. Lessons relate to children's "real world" experiences with emphasis on how to apply skills to everyday situations. This link will list the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills connected with each Guidance lesson. Guidance lesson TEKS also this link has more information on Frisco ISD SEL curriculum.
