Speech Therapy
Speech Therapy
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) defines a Speech or Language Impairment as "a communication disorder, such as stuttering, impaired articulation, a language impairment, or a voice impairment, that adversely affects a child's educational performance." Our speech therapy team provides services to students identified or suspected of having a communication disorder and a need for specialized instruction provided by special education. Services provided may include: evaluations, diagnoses, consultations, and treatment/management for various disorder types. As your Bledsoe Elementary speech therapy team, we are here to support your student's growth in their communication skills to achieve the best possible outcome for educational success. Our hope is that the resources we have shared on this site will allow you to feel empowered and encouraged to help your child become the best communicator they can be.

BIO
Hello, Bledsoe parents! I am so excited to be serving as a Bledsoe Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2024-25 school year. This will be my 6th year working in speech therapy in the public-school setting and my 2nd year at Bledsoe Elementary.
You may notice that something is a little different this year… I got married over the summer 🙂. My last name has changed from “Fleet” to “Fiscus.” Please be on the lookout for any communication coming from either Jacey Fleet or Jacey Fiscus this school year.
