Mrs. Harris

Hi! My name is Laura Harris and I'm so excited to be teaching 3rd Grade this year!  I taught 5 years teaching 2nd grade and this is my third year in 3rd grade at Ashley.  I graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2001 and have taught 3rd, 1st, and 2nd grade previously.  I stayed home with my kids for 13 years before returning to teaching.  My husband, Jason,  and I have been married for 6 years and have 4 kids together ages 22, 21, 19, and 17.  We also have 3 dogs, a great pyrenees, a bernese mountain dog, and a mini schnauzer. Most of our free time is spent at our farm in Mississippi where we keep 42 bee hives and manage 200 acres (with a small orchard).   I'm look forward to another great year at Ashley teaching 3rd grade!
