Continuing Education

The Sexual Assault and Stalking Symposium meets continuing education requirements for the following:

• Domestic Violence Advocate Certification: 5.75 hours (DV certification hours earned will be determined by WVCADV based on the sessions attended)
• Sexual Assault Advocate: 7 hours
• Law Enforcement Training-Annual Level In-Service (training approval number: 19-163A): 8 LETs
• WV Board of Examiners for Counseling (Provider #WVBEC-518) : 6 contact hours
• WV Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses (Provider # WV 50-26140): 7 contact hours
• WV Board of Examiners for Social Work (Provider # WV 490094): 7 contact hours
• WV State Bar Association: 6.9 CLEs

Hours will be updated as they become available.

To receive continuing education hours, you must sign in on the corresponding sign in sheet. The sign in sheets will be located in the foyer off of the Stonewall Ballroom.

DJCS approves this training as credit toward the required 8 hour minimum training under VOCA/VAWA. A Certificate of Attendance must be submitted to DJCS to receive credit for the training. Programs that will be requesting reimbursement for this training must submit a request for approval and breakdown of allowable cost to DJCS prior to attending the training. Failure to obtain preapproval may result in the cost not being reimbursed by DJCS. VOCA/VAWA grantees should contact the program manager for approval.
