Friends of Pacific City State Airport is a nonprofit organization made up of airport stakeholders - airport neighbors, local businesses, airport volunteers and pilots who use the airport - who support the wise management and use of this public airstrip.
We are a group of people who want to support the State-owned airport as advocates and volunteers. Some of us already help to maintain the airport - we mow the grass along the runway, kill weeds that grow up through the asphalt landing strip, maintain the public toilets and provide the visiting pilot sign-in sheets - and many of us are willing to actively participate in future airport maintenance projects. We follow and participate in meetings where the airport may be impacted by government and land use decisions. We are willing to help seek funding to mitigate airport safety concerns.
We are a diverse group of people who believe that Pacific City State Airport is an important public asset in this coastal community.
We invite others to join us - as volunteers, advocates, donors of money or in-kind services - as we rally airport stakeholders to take an active role in supporting this public airport. Please fill out the form on the Contact Us page to seek more information and to support Friends of Pacific City State Airport.
